Daily routine-Facial exercises

Facial exercise has been my daily routine for many years now. In one of my newsletters, I told you how I became interested in the subject of natural rejuvenation. Let me remind you that it all started with my aunt's book....

Facial muscle exercises became a routine for me even before I fully understood the science of Ayurveda. However, I knew that they had a beneficial effect on my appearance: despite the passing years, I noticed that I looked younger than my peers. I was sure that I didn't owe this to genetics, but to regular facial exercises.

When you go to the gym, you strengthen the muscles of your whole body – so why do we skip the face, which also needs regular training?

What is my facial fitness like?

I do facial yoga twice a day: in the morning and in the evening. Of course, sometimes I don't have time, oversleep, or just have a bad day – after all, I'm only human. However… you know what I do then? I try not to give up completely and I only do 1 very universal position, which I always recommend to busy people at the start – the so-called „Big O”.

This is one of my favourite facial exercises for a few reasons:
•  affects most muscles – the cheek area, the orbicularis oris muscle and the chin muscles,
•  It fantastically strengthens blood circulation in the face, which means the muscles and skin are better nourished and oxygenated.

Of course, doing one exercise won't replace a full facial yoga workout, but it will have at least some effect on muscle tone and prolong the effects of previous work. You can read about the exercise itself and how to perform it precisely in the post:  Big O face game.

When training, I always try to complete the full set of exercises. I don't let excuses put me off. After all, 10-15 minutes is a small price to pay for wrinkle-free skin. However, when I have some time to myself (usually in the evening), I also do massages with rich oils, which wonderfully relax and nourish the face. Examples of these can be seen in the videos on my Facebook profile.

Face exercises have become so natural for me that I do them not only in front of the mirror, but also during everyday activities: driving or working at the computer. This is especially convenient during particularly busy days when I know I might not have enough time for a workout later.

And you? What facial exercises do you prefer to do?
