Facial patches are a natural way to smooth out wrinkles. They teach you how to control the facial movements that cause folds in the skin. Their application requires no effort from you and does not involve your time. All you need to do is learn how to reposition them and apply them regularly. It couldn't be simpler!
I have prepared a practical guide for you in which I have collected all the key information on the application of wrinkle patches. You'll learn why you should use them, what types of facial patches there are, where and how you can apply them, how this method differs from kinesiotaping and when it's worth reaching for it.
In addition, in the entry you will find video link, in which I show a step-by-step complete ritual for natural skin rejuvenation. It consists of a short massage, facial yoga exercises and instruction on how to apply the facial patches. This is my proven way of smoothing out wrinkles, but also oxygenating the skin, smoothing it and firming it, resulting in a younger, radiant appearance.
What are facial wrinkle patches and how do they work?
Facial patches help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines on the face. They come in a variety of shapes, the most common being triangular or longitudinal.

They are usually made of a soft, breathable material. In the case of the Yoga Beauty facial patches, this is thermoplastic polyurethane - suitable even for sensitive skin.
By applying the facial patches, you act on 3 levels simultaneously:
- facial patches create a physical barrier, which smooths the skin at the site of the wrinkle, reducing its visibility,
by immobilising areas of skin, plasters restrict facial movements, which are the main cause of wrinkles (i.e. they work similarly to botulinum toxin, only that they are non-invasive, in a natural way), - are felt by the body when facial movements are made, helping to train control of one's own facial expressions; through regular use, you can make a habit of less intensive use of facial muscles, which further helps to reduce wrinkles in the long term.
Application sites for wrinkle patches
- forehead (transverse forehead wrinkles)
- between the eyebrows (lion's wrinkle)
- corners of the eyes (crow's feet)
- around the mouth (smoker's wrinkles)
- cheeks, nasolabial furrows
- neck

How do anti-wrinkle patches differ from kinesiotaping tape?
Patches for facial wrinkles and kinesiotaping tapes They differ in many respects - from the material of manufacture to the application and how they affect the appearance of the face.
Wrinkle patches They block the work of the facial muscles, smooth the skin at the wrinkle site, help control facial expressions and develop good habits. They restrict facial movements to a certain extent and, once applied, they do not work or stretch like tenp tapes. They are made of a gentle material that is also suitable for sensitive skin. No specialist knowledge is needed to apply them, application is very simple.
By contrast, TAPING TAPES Lift the skin, improve blood and lymph flow. They support muscles and joints and reduce pain and swelling. Their application is definitely more difficult (you need to know how to stick them on). They usually come in long, straight pieces that can be cut into the lengths and shapes you need. They are made of cotton or synthetic materials with a flexible adhesive that may not be suitable for delicate facial skin (it is worth checking this beforehand).
Why use patches for facial wrinkles?
- Natural smoothing of wrinkles
Patches effectively smooth the skin In areas where facial wrinkles are present. They work by gently stretching the skin to help reduce the appearance of fixed lines.
- Facial expression training
Wearing the patch teaches control of facial expressions. By blocking the movements of the muscles responsible for the formation of wrinkles, the patches help to develop habits that limit excessive facial movements, reducing the risk of new wrinkles.
- Safety and convenience
The plasters use a hypoallergenic adhesive that is safe for the skin. In addition, they are made of durable, thermoplastic polyurethane. This makes them suitable for use by people with sensitive skin.
- Ease of use
Anti-wrinkle patches are simple to apply. Regular application does not require special skills or a lot of time, making it ideal for those who value convenience.
- Suitable for different parts of the face
The patches can be applied in various places on the face, This includes the forehead, the area around the eyes (crow's feet), lips (marionette wrinkles) and between the eyebrows. In this way, the skin of the entire face can be comprehensively cared for.
- Alternative to invasive methods
Wrinkle patches are a natural alternative to more invasive methods, Such as botulinum toxin or fillers. With these, you can achieve visible results without having to undergo aesthetic medicine.
- Improving care habits
Regular use of the patch can encourage a more informed approach for skin care. By seeing positive results, you may feel motivated to take care of your skin in other aspects as well, such as proper moisturisation, sun protection or a healthy diet.
How do I prepare my skin for the anti-wrinkle patch application?
Preparing the skin for the application of the facial wrinkle patch is very simple. All you need to do is cleanse your skin thoroughly. Avoid using greasy products immediately before applying the patch, as these can reduce the adhesion of the patch.
After applying your regular skincare products, wait for your skin to absorb them. If you notice any product residue on the surface of your skin, apply a tissue gently and wipe off any excess.
You can use the patches alone or in combination with a longer ritual - facial yoga and massage. This will make the results of these activities even better and longer-lasting.
See instructions for the full ritual, which concludes with patching:
Can wrinkle patches be used over make-up?
Absolutely! I often do this myself. Yoga Beauty's facial patches are virtually invisible on the skin.

For anti-wrinkle patches worth reaching for in the summer, when you squint more often (which fixes fine lines). You can apply them to your face before prolonged exposure to the sun, e.g. before a holiday walk, relaxing or working in the garden.
However, remember not to apply the patch over make-up that you have been wearing all day - when your skin is already sweaty and covered in impurities that are invisible to the eye. In this case, it is far better to cleanse the skin first by carrying out a thorough make-up removal.
How do I apply facial wrinkle patches correctly?

- Step 1: Choose the right patch
Facial patches are available in various shapes. Look at the picture above and choose the one that matches your wrinkle. Then gently bend the sheet of slices and peel off one so as not to damage it.
- Step 2: Application of the patch to the facial wrinkle
Grasp the edges of the patch with one hand and gently smooth and straighten the wrinkle with the other. You can now apply the patch, gently taping it to the skin.
- Step 3: How long to wear the patch for facial wrinkles
It is a good idea to apply the patches for at least a few tens of minutes - a few hours. You can even apply them several times a week.
Can wrinkle patches be used overnight?
Yes, as much as possible. Wrinkle patches can be applied both during the day and at night. However, it is best to do it interchangeably. Why? Because they provide a longer duration of action and comfort at night, and you can sleep soundly without worrying about their visibility.
And during the day, the patches help you develop good habits and control your facial expressions, which prevents new wrinkles from forming. You begin to understand how your face works during daily activities, allowing you to correct some movements, taking care of your skin in the long term.
Can several patches be applied to the face at the same time?
Yes, this is possible and sometimes even recommended, especially if you want to effectively work on several different zones of the face. For example, you can apply the patch to the crow's feet area and the lion's wrinkle area at the same time. In this way, you work simultaneously on reducing several different types of fixed fine lines.
However, remember not to overdo the number of patches. Each zone needs proper attention and time. Excessive application of patches to the face will firstly be uncomfortable and secondly may lead to undesirable effects.
Effects of the patch on facial wrinkles
- Inhibit the formation and deepening of facial wrinkles
- Inhibit the formation of sleep wrinkles
- Diminish pre-existing wrinkles
- Minimise unwanted facial movements
- Keep skin taut
- Facilitate control of facial movements
- Fix the effects of facial yoga
- Help control facial expressions
When will you notice the effects of the facial patches?
Effects of facial patches this is a very individual issue. For some they will be visible quickly, for some they will appear after a few weeks. It all depends on the condition of your skin and muscles, your facial expression, your skincare, the depth of your wrinkles and your lifestyle.
As it happens with natural methods - it is worth remembering that the patches need to be applied regularly and the results are not given to us once and for all. When we stop this practice (and do not control our facial movements) the wrinkles will return to their place.
